Student Wellbeing + Learning Enrichment

Wellbeing

We are committed to helping each child develop and grow in their sense of self, knowledge, and skills, including how to prioritise their mental health and spiritual wellbeing. We believe this is best done in a supportive Christian environment modelled on God’s love for us. We encourage that all students are members of the College Community and believe that this sense of belonging and feeling of value contribute to positive self-image.

Our student expectations are built around role modelling and promoting positive behaviours. We also encourage self-reflection, accountability, and responsibility. We believe that getting to the core of what is troubling a student and helping our students embrace a strategy for improvement and support in a loving Christian environment yields the best results for ongoing wellbeing and personal growth.

Our Wellbeing Team work together to support specific student needs. We are fluent in partnering with parents and external professionals to achieve the best support and outcomes for our students holistically.

Mentor Teacher or Classroom Teacher

Every student spends the first part of every day with their mentor teacher or classroom teacher if in infant or Primary years. The daily consistency helps to build rapport with students, giving them a central point of call for any issues or concerns. Our teachers are an essential connection between home and school, ready to chat about how to support every student with their own unique set of abilities and characteristics.

Counsellor

Our College Counsellor is available for students to talk to at their request, and in some cases their mentor teacher might suggest and arrange the chat.

Chaplain

Our College Chaplain guides students and staff in their individual faith development while also providing social, emotional and spiritual support and mentorship for our students when needed.

"One of the most transformative, forward-thinking developments in education today is the shift towards whole-school approaches that prioritise wellbeing, engagement and relational trust as essential foundations for learning. This approach fosters a culture of learning that not only improves academic outcomes but also builds resilience, connectedness and a genuine love of learning."

Learning Enrichment

The Learning Enrichment Team is essential for promoting inclusive, supportive, and effective education. By working together, the team ensures that every student has the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their learning challenges or background. We are fluent in partnering with parents and external professionals to ensure our students needs are met holistically.

We understand that every child learns differently and we are passionate about tailoring learning to best support this. We have a talented Learning Enrichment Team who support our students in various ways. This may look like 1:1 assistance in the classroom or breakout rooms, small group learning or providing learning tools/aids that assist in your child’s success.
