Student Experiences

Faith Development

Students are invited to grow in their faith through regular devotions, small group discussions, and chapel services that encourage and support them as they explore their unique place in God’s world. Biblical teaching is thoughtfully woven into both Biblical Studies classes and weekly Chapel gatherings, and faith-based perspectives are thoughtfully integrated throughout the wider curriculum.

"Chapel, primary and infants praise creates space for children to encounter Jesus, grow in faith, and know they are deeply loved by God."

Camps

At Summerland Christian College, camps are an integral part of student life, combining adventure, learning, and spiritual growth in a dynamic and supportive environment. These experiences allow students to step away from their daily routines, build deeper relationships with peers and mentors, and engage in meaningful personal development.

Through collaborative activities, personal challenges, and guided reflection, students cultivate important character traits such as perseverance, leadership, and resilience. Camps encourage students to move beyond their comfort zones, develop a strong work ethic, and foster a sense of community and mutual support.

Spiritually, camps offer opportunities for worship, prayer, and Bible study, helping students deepen their personal connection with God. These moments of reflection enable them to explore their faith and values in a nurturing setting. The balance of physical, emotional, and spiritual experiences makes camps a powerful catalyst for holistic growth.

The friendships formed during camp create lasting networks of faith, encouragement, and belonging. Camps at Summerland play a vital role in shaping resilient, well-rounded, and spiritually grounded individuals, prepared to embrace a hope-filled future.
